Members had a fantastic camp and James had the whole range to work with from Cheryl’s little Shetland pony Alfie in his new Bennington two wheeler and Baz just starting outdoor trials with his young driver Amy Stone , through to Giselle’s young pony pair and Sally Edwards pony team!
We took refuge in the chalets for hot tea and meals and to dry off but every day was busy – with individual lessons, driving cones and through the grounds as well as course walking with the expert! On Monday the focus was dressage and schooling , with the group obstacle walking in the evening with James.
Tuesday was obstacle driving using the brand new national obstacles including the water. Jack Kedward and Tony Edwards joined us for this and also for the group cones walk later in the day. It was impressive to see how everyone improved and Sally was ecstatic to get her team driving solid obstacles so competitively.
Wednesday was cones driving and after the presentation of rosettes for individual achievements camp was over for another year! It was great fun, hugely useful and everyone was really pleased with how they progressed – thank you James!
