Powys Carriage Driving Group

Members were rewarded for their support as well as driving skills at the recent July AGM. The club is pleased to report another very successful year with friendly events and notable successes - we had two BC Champions in chairman Peter Sidebottom in Intermediate Horse and Vice chair  Emily Ham British Young Drivers 18-25 years!!!! The club helps develop skills as well as great fun for members with events like the Christmas Cones Challenge. The new calendar of affiliated indoor trials competitions is now published.Club drivers at Keysoe all finished in the top ten of their classes which is a HUGE achievememt.

Prices for events and membership have not ben increased - in fact reduced for club members! The Main Ring Show demos at Usk Show and Llangynidr have increased awareness of driving trials whilst being very enjoyable to take part in. The club supported the RDA Championships at Hartpury again this year by providing the obstacle equipment and the Technical delegate for the obstacle driving section.

We have exciting events coming up - two day camp with James Broome on 30 and 31 August for members and he club is putting on the new BC Evolution and Young Horse and Pony classes at an oDE on 30th at camp which is open to any BC affiliated member.

Everyone interested in horses, carriage driving and of course  driving trials is MOST welcome to come to our events and find out more. We are a friendly enthusiastic group . there is always a role for someone who would like to help! We have two UKCC level two coaches for regular training and are affiliated to both the Indoor Driving Trials and British Carriagedriving..
