JUNIORS ON FIRE !!!!!The club performed two main ring demos for the fifth year running at this popular village show with large crowds gathering to cheer on the ponies and drivers SEE PHOTO GALLERY FOR GREAT PHOTOS BY CHRISTINE PITT.. Four turnouts competed Sally lloyd with the ever appealing little Spotty had Lucy Morris on board as groom and was the children's favourite again ! Bethanie Headworth brought RDA pony Daisy with her friend Sam to promote the Ceffyl Du group most successfully. The highlight had to be the incredibly close competition between young drivers Emily Curnock,15 and Jack Kedward ,12. These set the ring on fire with skills and speed that you could travel the country to match! The morning heats saw Emily emerge victorious by 4 seconds over the rounds driven but the afternoon rounds saw Jack take the lead by a close margin to win. The Championship is decided over the final scores of the two rounds taken together ...and went to young Jack Kedward with his Section C Howell ....by a whisker ahead of Emily's game little Section B Top Dollar who was beginning to feel the ground conditions.
The Club is proud to have two of the best young drivers in Wales showcasing sports driving and very grateful to all the members who took part and to enthisiastic new members Nigel and Andrea raddock for stewarding both demos. We would like to thank the show for giving us the opportrunity to demonstrate driving and for the wonderful rosettes they provided. the Champion and Reserve Rosettes especially are ones to treasure on display on the lorry !
