Powys Carriage Driving Group

PCDG are actively promoting carriage driving across the region . On August 4th the club are providing a demo as a main  ring attraction at Brecon County Show , and again in two main ring demos at Llangnyidr Show on August 26th, In support club members will be manning the information tent and avaialable to offer advice and support about all aspects of driving.

As part of the Join in Sport initiative PCDG have designated the training on 14th Augustfrom 2pm till 6pm at Llwynon Saddlery , Trescatle as an opportunity for the wider public to find out more about carriage driving with a number of different turnouts being driven and the club training officer ready to adivse . During the weekend of 18th - 19th  August there will be a stand andclub enthusiasts at Morisons in Brecon for anyone interested in fimding out more about this growing sport.

Pony Club badges are now being offered with two levels in harness and driving for youngsters to achieve and as a support officer of the BDS as well as club training officer Emily is keen to assist local Pony Clubs in developing this exciting new initiative. Carriage driving is an ideal purpose for that much loved utgrownpony and Pony Club riders convert to excellent carriage drivers , as proved by the recent team at the World Junior Trophy and certainly  enjoy the fast paced action of sports driving ..
