RESULTS & REVIEW of the OCTOBER MID WALES HDT EVENT

There were 15 entries forward on the day and thanks to helpful members setting up dressage, cones and obstacle equipment the event ran to time and there were no hicups. The affiliated classes were very well supported with 4 in Open Horse, 3 in Open Pony and 3 in Novice Pony. Averrina Snow drove her lovely grey pony pair in the multiples class and Michelle Peters her Friesian in Novice Horse. There were 3 juniors taking part who all drove exceptionally well and two small ponies under 10 hands ...

OUR WELSH TEAM WINS AT THE WORLDS !!

The inaugral World Championships for Scurry & Trials was held from 12-14th September at Sandringham and our club came back with a three medals ! The Welsh team was made up of four drivers and we also sent two individuals.It was an amazing achievement that every person selected was a member of the club and the icing on the cake that they performed so well at their first event as a team . Don't miss out on a headstart to the new indoor driving season ...come along to our dressage training for the new indoor tests at Llwynon Saddlery on Friday 26th Sept 4-7pm and on Sunday 28th Sept 11am - 5pm there will be training and competition for all three phases of indoor driving - but on  the field at Gilwern.. JACK KEDWARD, 11,was on fire for both main ring show demos driving home bred Section C Gurnos Welsh Replica put to a Hartland Microsport. What a fantastic day's training we enjoyed with Steve Lucas the National Course Builder for horse driving trials. We learnt such wealth of information during the morning's interactive session covering the three phases of driving trials and in the afternoon put it all together by setting up the dressage, cones and obstacles for our first outdoor one Day Event the next day.
