Twelve club drivers enjoyed a fantastic camp with James Broome , Level 2 UK CC coach and National Champion and have acquired all the skills to compete confidently in outdoor HDT events. The AGM was very well attended with 27 members attending the prizegiving and all bar one staying for the meal and main meeting.
With a membership of 47 the club is growing steadily. Membership runs from one AGM to the next so for the new season began on 5th July. We have a really strong group of 12 young drivers , 6 disabled whips and further disabled non driving helpers. National Indoor Driving Championships: Powys Carriage Driving Group
Powys Carriage Driving Group were thrilled that 7 of the club members who qualified took part in the Indoor Championships at Keysoe in April. The last event of the affiliated series was held on 9th March giving those off to the Indoor Driving Trials fInals at Keysoe a chance to try the new championship tests. Competing for Mid Wales will be Jonathan Rees in Open Horse , Peter Sidebottom in Intermediate Horse , Gwyn Rees in Veteran , Ray Hopkins in multiples with his large pony pair , Janice Sidebottom in Novice Horse , Alison Dascombe in Novice pony and Emily Ham in Open Pony.
