Powys Carriage Driving Group members enjoyed great competition at the November Affiliated Indoor Horse Driving Trials. Jonathan Rees, winner of Open Horse, impressed British Dressage judge Sandra Fisher by winning the dressage overall. He drove a good cones round with just one ball down and three time penalties and went to fly the obstacles in the fastest times of the day. Wild weather added to the atmosphere as the club stalwarts had a fun filled day at Llwynon indoor school. The day started off with Freestyle Dressage to Music, judged by Anthea Birch, everyone choosing Halloween tracks and putting on a great show in their full fancy dress regalia! October 27th is a club fun day with a Halloween theme. Fancy dress for driver , groom , horse and carriage and Halloween music throughout the day . Decorated obstacles and cones courses. Dressage to music - a chance to wow the judge with a sparkling freestyle display. Two classes in each phase : adults and juniors separately and each phases with a set of Halloween edition placing rosettes from 1st - 4th. Club sees record entry for first indoor Driving Trials event of the season
Powys Carriage Driving Group held the first affiliated driving trials event of the winter series on Sunday Oct 6th with a record entry of sixteen drivers.
